The Moto G72 India launch could be right around the corner. The handset has cleared multiple certifications including FCC, and BIS. Motorola has been launching multiple devices under its G-series. To recap, the Lenovo-owned company launched the Moto G32, G42, and G62 5G earlier this year.
Still riding high on the success of the previously launched G-series smartphones, Motorola is prepping to launch the Moto G72 in multiple regions including India. Notably, the Moto G72 has already cleared multiple certifications. The Moto G72 has passed through FCC, TDRA, and BIS certification websites. Moreover, MySmartPrice has spotted the purported Motorola phone on the IMEI database.

Moto G72 Gets BIS, FCC & Other Certifications Ahead Of India Launch
The G72 carries model number XT2255-1 on the FCC, TDRA, and BIS certification websites. Also, it has the same model number on the IMEI database. Now, these listings confirm the Moto G72 moniker. The Moto G72 could be headed to India soon since it has bagged the certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards. Further, the BIS database listing reveals that the Indian variant has model number XT2255-2.
Moreover, the FCC listing for the Moto G72 confirms the presence of a battery unit with model number NE50. Likewise, the charging adapter has model numbers MC-336, MC-334, MC-333, MC-332, and MC-331. As per the TUV certification for the Motorola NE50, a 5000mAh battery will be powering up the Moto G72. This is the typical capacity of the battery. However, the battery’s rated capacity is 4700mAh.
Further, these chargers have received DEMKO certification. According to the certification, the Moto G72 will support 33W fast charging. Also, the certification suggests that the charger will deliver multiple power outputs. These include 33W (11V/3A), 30W (12V/2.5A), 27W (9V/3A), and 15W (5V/3A). Lastly, the FCC certification suggests that the G72 will offer NFC support. The phone will support Bluetooth connectivity as well.
