Besides launching the Huawei Mate 50 series of flagship smartphones, the China-based first-tier tech company also released a number of other products. Among them, we should mention the Huawei MatePad Pro 12.6-inch tablet, which challenges the iPad.
Design and Display
Externally, the Huawei MatePad Pro 12.6-inch continues the simple and atmospheric design style of the previous models. However, the narrowed screen frame is obvious. It is only 5.6mm, which makes the display achieve a 90% ultra-high screen ratio.
The micro-arc middle frame ensures an excellent grip. Also, the tablet is as light as 609g and as thin as 6.5mm. Due to the industry’s first frosting process, it feels extremely good in the hand.
Well, the screen is one of the biggest selling points. So we have to pay more attention to it. Particularly the Huawei MatePad Pro sports a 12.6-inch 120Hz refresh rate OLED primary color full screen. It has a 2560×1600 resolution, 1000000:1 high contrast, 1.07 billion colors. P3 wide color gamut, Delta E<1 color accuracy, reaching the top level in the industry.
Other than that, this tablet comes with HUAWEI SOUND audio. It can reach up to 79dB loudness and shocking sound effects. Combined with the OLED screen, this product becomes an immersive handheld theater.
This screen has passed the German Rheinland Full-care Display 3.0 certification and adopts hardware low blue light technology. The latter supports 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, significantly reducing stroboscopic and eye discomfort compared to ordinary OLEDs.
