Transsion Holdings group is trying its best to conquer the global audience. The Chinese conglomerate behind brands Infinix, Tecno, and Itel has been launching multiple devices in the past years. Most of these devices come to conquer the global audience with affordable prices and compelling specifications. These companies have been surprising us with impressive specs such as the 180W ThunderFlash Charging system. Tecno isn’t playing games anymore, and besides the compelling specs is also trying to appeal to the style. The company introduced the Tecno Camon 19 Pro back in June at Rockefeller Center in New York. Now, the company is introducing a new stylish Mondrian Edition in the Indian market.
This isn’t Project Ara, but the “blocky” design on the back certainly will make you remember that. The Tecno Camon 19 Pro Mondrian has a multiple-color design on the back. In fact, it follows the abstract painting of Pier Mondrian. It’s a very popular artist of the 20th century. The new Mondrian Edition will try to surf in the stylish and lifestyle veins of the Indian audience. But what about the specifications? Will they conquer the customers? Let’s find out.

Tecno Camon 19 Pro Mondrian Edition specifications
Well, the Tecno Camon 19 Pro is more than a “beauty face”. But the design certainly is what makes it stand out. The device uses polychromatic photosoimer technology. It allows the monochrome cover to show multiple colors under different lighting. Interestingly, this is a direct allusion to Mondrian’s rejection of visually perceived reality. The back comes with thick lines and straight angles to follow the artist’s aesthetics. The different rectangles will show different hues of blue and purple under sunlight. According to the company, the device went through “rigorous crafting” with more than 500 iterations of testing.
Apart from the innovative design, the hardware is the same as the other variants. That means disappointment for those waiting for something really 2022-esque. The phone comes with Tecno’s favorite Helio G96 SoC with 4G connectivity. Apart from that, there is a dual camera setup that is quite impressive. It packs a 64 MP main camera with an RGBW sensor and a 50 MP 2 x portrait camera. The snappers also bring EIS, OIS, and HDR support.
Other specifications include a 6.8-inch LCD screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The phone has a 32 MP selfie camera that sits inside of a punch-hole cutout. The device draws power from a 5,000 mAh battery with 33 W fast charging.
Pricing and Availability
For now, the Tecno Camon 19 Pro Mondrian seems to be exclusive to the Indian market. The device will hit the shelves for INR 17,999 and the pre-orders begin on September 22 via Amazon.
