The Vivo X Fold+ 5G smartphone’s specifications and features have been revealed ahead of an official launch. Vivo is prepping to launch a new foldable smartphone dubbed the X Fold+ 5G in China. Regrettably, details about the Vivo X Fold+ 5G smartphone’s China launch date are still scarce.
A noted Chinese tipster recently claimed that the 5G-ready handset will launch in China by the end of this month. However, there was still no official confirmation regarding the imminent arrival of Vivo’s foldable handset. Now, Vice President of Vivo Jia Jingdong has finally divulged some Vivo X Fold+ 5G foldable phone specifications.

The X Fold+ 5G will be the second foldable handset from Vivo. So, it will bring some upgrades over the original X Fold 5G. To recap, the X Fold sold out like hotcakes after going official earlier this year. The X Fold+ 5G will also launch in the global markets and end up garnering huge popularity among Vivo fans like its predecessor.

Vivo X Fold+ 5G Specifications
The upcoming premium smartphone from Vivo could go toe-to-toe with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 5G. To create more hype around its new foldable handset, the company has teased the Vivo X Fold+ 5G smartphone’s specifications. Notably, the foldable phone will use a new hinge mechanism.
The new hinge will enable the smartphone to fold and set at various angles. For instance, you can set it at 120 degrees, 90 degrees, and 30 degrees. According to Jingdong, the X Fold+ 5G will sport a foldable display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, this screen is 19 Display A+ certified.
Both the cover display and the foldable screen will come with an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. However, Jingdong did not reveal the display size. According to a report by MySmartPrice, the handset will have an 8.03 inch foldable display. Also, the report suggests the X Fold+ 5G will probably feature a 6.53 inch cover display.
Moreover, the Vivo X Fold+ 5G is likely to pack a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC under the hood. A 4730mAh battery with 80W fast charge support will power up the entire system. The handset could get 50W wireless charge support as well. Lastly, Jingdong confirmed the presence of Zeiss-tuned cameras that has a T* coating.
