OnePlus software department seems to be returning to track. We say this because, in the past years, the company has been taking some time to roll out major Android updates for its flagships. Of course, the list of smartphones grew bigger in recent years with the multiple variants and the Nord series. The merger with Oppo also affected the company in some aspects. However, with OxygenOS 13 the company plans to give users what they have been asking for: the simplicity and reliable software of the old OnePlus. The company is rolling out the stable Android 13 update for the OnePlus 10 Pro.
The arrival of this update is remarkable. After all, the official rollout of Android 13 happened one month ago. The OnePlus 10 Pro now is one of the first Android smartphones getting Android 13. And it’s the first to get OxygenOS 13. For now, the update is covering users in the Open Beta Program. So, it may take a few weeks to reach other users running stable OxygenOS 12. Anyway, they can rest safe that the update is coming soon.
Users in India will get the update with firmware versions NE2211_11.C.19. Meanwhile, the European and North American units will get NE2213_11.C.19 and NE2215_11.C.19 versions. Worth noting that users will need at least 5 GB of Free Storage to download it. Moreover, OnePlus recommends at least 30% of the battery to install this.
More about the OnePlus 10 Pro’s OxygenOS 13 update
A few months ago, OnePlus said it would be returning to the former design of OxygenOS. That means, instead of a ColorOS-esque design, the company would return to stock Android. Or at least, something closer to it. Apparently, it’s not staying too much loyal to these words.
Gizchina News of the week
The OxygenOS 13 update comes with OnePlus’ new Aquamorphic Design. It’s a new design with blueish standard colors and a design that adapts. The company ensures the new Aquamorphic Design Language will provide fluid and vivid animations. The OnePlus 10 Pro is the first to benefit from this new design language.
The new software update also brings a bunch of optimizations to performance. OnePlus cites the use of AI engines to improve overall software stability. The gaming experience is much better on OxygenOS 13. Audio is also getting a refreshment through Dolby Technology. Digital Wellbeing features are revamped as well as the Security and Privacy Options.
More devices will get OxygenOS 13 soon
The 10 Pro is the pioneer as the “highest” device in the OP10 series. However, we expect it to reach other devices pretty soon. Devices such as the OnePlus 10T and OnePlus 10R are likely the next in line. The company will also bring it to older flagships, as long as they’re still supported. Moreover, Nord series smartphones will also get it.
