According to reports, Microsoft is gearing up to launch new Surface products soon. On October 12, the company will host a conference. As per the leaks, it will unveil a bunch of new products including the Microsoft Surface Studio 3. Apparently, the new device is already giving important steps to grant its release.

A new leaked photo has emerged from the FCC filing. The regulatory body attests to the device and checks if they are “certified” for the market. Thanks to the filling, we have the first shot of the Surface Studio 3 smart display. According to the leaked photo, this is a beta product. So the final product may have slight differences. Anyway, we have something that looks a lot like Microsoft Surface Studio 2 and runs Windows 11.

Additionally, a new FCC filing released earlier this week details a mysterious Surface product. This unspecified product is called a “desktop computer” and carries the “C3K2043” model number. Perhaps, this is also a filing for the Surface Studio 3. After all, the Surface Go, Pro, Laptop, and Book fall under the “portable computer” category. Even the Surface Duo fits in Microsoft’s “portable computer” category. So, this is most like the Surface Studio 3. Worth noting that every wireless communication device needs to get FCC certification. Therefore, a smart display is not an exception.

Unfortunately, FCC is not the most “revealing” certification. It brings minimal details about the device. For instance, it will have Wi-Fi 6 compatibility, with 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz support. The leak also states that the upcoming Microsoft Surface Studio 3 bears the “codename Chehalis”. It will launch alongside the new Surface devices. We expect a new Surface Keyboard and Surface Pen to appear at the October 8 event.

Surface Duo 3 is not coming this time

As per reports, Microsoft is not bringing a Surface Duo 3 at this event. The new Android smartphone will likely get released in the next year. As per the leaks, it will leave the “dual-screen” category to arrive as a full-fledged foldable smartphone.
