Chinese manufacturing giant, Xiaomi, is doing quite well in he smartphone market. Since the commercialization of 5G, twe already have many 5G devices in the market. However, entry-level 5G smartphones are not so common. So, we can safely say that flagship and mid-range 5G smartphones are much more popular than the entry-level counterpart. Now, Xiaomi is further stretching 5G to the entry-level segment. Today, Redmi officially announced a new phone – Redmi Note 11R. According to the company, this device has “come quickly for the popularization of 5G mobile phones”. The Redmi Note 11R supports dual-card dual 5G, adopts 90Hz high-refresh rate and a high-definition screen.

In terms of main configuration, the Redmi Note 11R comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor. It uses a 6.58-inch LCD water drop screen with a resolution of 2408 x 1080. In the camera department, this device comes with a dual rear camera setup. It has a 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual rear camera while the front-facing camera is 5-megapixel. This smartphone is available in three colours including Ice Crystal Galaxy, Mysterious Black Realm, and Polar Blue Ocean. This device is 8.9mm thick, weighs 201g, and uses side fingerprint recognition. It also retains the 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Under the hood, this device uses a large 5000 mAh battery that supports 10W charging. In addition to the large battery, this device is also available in three storage options. It has up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage which is expandable to 512GB via an SD card. Specifically, it has the 4GB + 128GB, 6GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 128GB version. These smartphones are listed for 1299 yuan ($182), 1499 yuan ($210) and 1699 yuan ($238) respectively.
This entry-level smartphone already has a landing page for pre-order in China. At the moment, only China Telecom has a landing page for this device but the pre-order will commence tomorrow. When the sales commence, other operators and major stores will have the device. It is important to note that the pre-order price may increase when the official sales starts.
