Gizchina News of the week
The company teases the Redmi Pad as the perfect device for entertainment, gaming, e-learning, and browsing. We’re not very confident about the gaming performance, but the tablet will certainly do well in all other aspects. The image also confirms the Mint Green Colorway. The device has a big Squareish module for an 8 MP camera. As previous reports have been pointing out, there is no LED flash helper for this tablet. This basically Redmi’s way to tell you that you shouldn’t be capturing night photos with a tablet.
Redmi Pad specifications
Xiaomi is yet to reveal the specs of the tablet. However, thanks to the leaks we already know what to expect. As per the reports, the tablet brings the MediaTek Helio G99 SoC. It has two ARM Cortex-A76 cores + six efficient ARM Cortex-A55 cores. The tablet will come with up to 4GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of Internal storage.
The Redmi Pad will flaunt a 10.61-inch LCD screen with 2,000 x 1,200 pixels. The panel has a 90 Hz refresh rate, and an 8 MP selfie shooter. Interestingly, the camera comes with a feature to change the FOV when more people join your video calls. In terms of battery, we have a huge 8,000 mAh battery with 18 W fast-charging. However, the adapter will go up to 22.5 Watts.
For multimedia, the tablet will pack Quad Speakers with Dolby Atmos tuning. In terms of colors, the leak suggests Graphite Gray, Moonlight Silver, and Mint Green colorways.
As per leaks, there is also a cellular variant coming soon. It will have a larger 11.2-inch screen and a smaller 7,800 mAh battery. However, we don’t know if both variants are coming at the same event.
