Honor 80 and 80 SE specs have been tipped

Honor 80

Honor is gearing up to introduce the Honor 80 series. As usual with every launch, this one is preceded by a lot of leaks and rumors. A few days ago, the Honor 80 Pro+ had some of its key specs tipped. Now, it’s time for the tipster Digital Chat Station to reveal some tidbits about the Honor 80 and Honor 80 Pro.

Honor 80 (SE) and Honor 80 Pro specs are here

The popular Chinese leakster reveals some key specs coming with the new premium phones. The Honor 80 will pack the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC. This chipset has been recently released by the Taiwanese firm. It stands as an upgrade over the Dimensity 920. The tipster also confirms the phone with a 64 MP main camera.

Meanwhile, the 80 Pro will sport the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC. Yes, once again, Honor will be using this chipset in the lineup. But what else Qualcomm has to offer besides the Snapdragon 778G and Snapdragon 7 Gen 1? And apparently, not all phone makers are confident in using the Samsung-made Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. The tipster also points to the use of a 108 MP camera in the 80 Pro.

Honor 80 Pro

Gizchina News of the week

The Honor 80 Pro+, as usual, is the most impressive device in the lineup. The handset will bring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. This powerful chipset will sit alongside up to 12 GB of RAM, and we assume that it has up to 256 GB or even 512 GB of storage. The rumors also point to the use of a 200 MP main camera. So the 80 Pro+ may be the third smartphone to reach the market with Samsung’s HP1 snapper. Last but not least, we expect a curved AMOLED screen and 100W fast-charging support.

Conflicting reports about the names

Honor 80

There are also some rumors pointing to a different nomenclature for the series. There will be an Honor 80 SE, 80, and 80 Pro+. The SE is the one with the Dimensity 1080, the vanilla has the Snapdragon 778G, and the Pro is the flagship with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. As per the 3C listing, the SE and vanilla have 66W charging support. The Pro, on the other hand, has the already-mentioned 100W charging support.
