Lenovo Xiaoxin Air 14 2023 is here ahead of Xiaomi Book Air 13

In a few days, Xiaomi will introduce its new Xiaomi Book Air 13 in China. The device will try to conquer users with a super-slim design, gorgeous 2.8K display, and power. Lenovo, one of the dominant forces in the PC segment is ready for that. Ahead of Xiaomi’s product unveiling, the company brings the Lenovo Xiaoxin Air 14 2023 to the market with similar specs.

Lenovo Xiaoxin Air 14 specifications

The Lenovo Xiaoxin Air 14 as the name suggests has a bigger 14-inch panel. This is an LCD screen, while Xiaomi’s model has an OLED panel, Lenovo brings a larger one with a 120 Hz refresh rate. This is a 2.8K display which is a fancy term for the 2,880 x 1,800 resolution. The panel also has up to 400 nits of brightness which is good for a portable computer.  The laptop is also quite thin with a thickness between 14.9 and 15.9 mm. The weight is 1.34 Kg.

The 12th gen processor has a clock speed of up to 4.4 GHz. The laptop is paired with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of Internal Storage. Moreover, it brings a 1080p camera with advanced facial recognition. There is also a system-level beauty effect, to displease some, of course. The device supports an automatic lock screen and two-way noise reduction during video calls.

Lenovo’s Xiaoxin Air 14 2023 also brings Dolby Atmos-tuned Four Speaker Setup. In terms of connectivity, we have 4 x Thunderbolt 4 ports, USB-A 3.2 Gen 1, and HDMI 2.0 ports. We assume it brings Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 6E.

The new laptop is up for pre-orders in China for CNY 5,699 ($780). For now, there is no word on when the actual shipments will begin. In the same way, there is no word regarding global availability. The device is a competitor for Xiaomi’s upcoming laptop. However, when it comes to thickness, Xiaomi’s device has the upper hand.

Worth noting that Lenovo is working on several concepts to release in the laptop segment. There is even a very promising one.
