The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ smartphone is headed to India soon, but it will carry a different moniker than the Chinese variant. The Redmi Note 12 series went official in China not long ago.
The Note 12 series comprises the Note 12 5G, Note 12 Pro 5G, and the Note 12 Pro+ 5G. The lineup also includes a Note 12 Explorer Edition.
Notably, Xiaomi sold more than a whopping 350,000 Redmi Note 12 series phones in just one hour. However, the company plans to launch different variants of the Redmi Note 12 series in India.
Moreover, one of the Chinese Redmi Note 12 series devices will arrive in the Indian market carrying a different moniker. The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G is likely to make its debut in India as the Xiaomi 12i HyperCharge.
As the name suggests, the HyperCharge series delivers a superior fast-charging experience. To recall, the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge was launched with 120W fast charging back in January.
Redmi Note 12 Pro+ India Launch Imminent
So, the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G could support 120W fast charging in India. Noted MIUI tester Kacper Skrzypek originally hinted at Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G coming to India as the 12i HyperCharge.
Apparently, Skrzypek spotted a mention of the 12i HyperCharge in the MIUI code. However, whether the Note 12 Pro 5G will debut as the vanilla Xiaomi 12i HyperCharge in India is unclear.

According to a report by MySmartPrice, the 12i series could comprise two devices just like its predecessor. However, Xiaomi is still mum on its plan to launch the 12i series in India.
Still, the report suggests the Xiaomi 12i HyperCharge India launch could take place in early 2023. Moreover, the Xiaomi 12i HyperCharge could retain the specs of the Chinese Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G.
So, it will sport a 6.67-inch OLED panel with a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, it will pack a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC.
A 5000mAh battery unit with 120W fast charging support could also be in the offing. For optics, the Xiaomi 12i HyperCharge might feature a triple rear camera setup.
Notably, it might house a 200MP Samsung HPX main sensor. Aside from this, it will feature an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro lens on the back. Upfront, the phone could house a 16MP selfie camera.
Lastly, the phone runs Android 12 OS with MIUI 13 on top. More details are likely to surface online in the coming days.
