Vivo X90 Pro+ performance disclosed

The Geekbench test shows the Vivo V2227A model running with processor “Kalama”. This is the codename for the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Geekbench shows three clusters with a peak performance of 3.19 GHz for the ARM Cortex-X3 core. This variant in question ran Geekbench with 12 GB of RAM and also runs Android 13. The 2023 flagship processor scored 1,485 points in the Single Core tests and 4,739 points in the Multi-Core department. It already shows a significant performance gain for the Vivo X90 Pro+ over the past generation.

For comparison, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 tops out at 1,200 and 3,200 in the Single and Multi-Core tests respectively. The newer Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, on the other hand, has a higher margin at 1,300 and 4,200, respectively. So, we can already see a decent increase with the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. However, these are benchmark tests based on hardware. In real-world tests, we don’t think users will see much difference between the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Still, the Vivo X90 Pro+ performance will be top-notch.
