Oppo launched the Oppo Reno 9 series in the last month and is expected to close the year with new foldable phones. The Oppo Find N2 will succeed the last year’s model, and along with it, the company will present an all-new clamshell foldable – the Oppo Find N2 Flip. The two devices will come this month, and according to a new report, may appear on December 15.
Oppo Find N2 and N2 Flip to appear during Inno Day 2022
The company did not confirm the launch date for these phones. However, a leakster points to December 14 as the date of Oppo Inno Day 2022. To those unaware, Inno Day even is where Oppo discloses some of its innovative upcoming technologies. A few years back, the event was used to tease the rollable phone. Last year, the company used the event to present the Oppo Find N. As a result, we expect the 2022 edition to also serve as a stage for the Oppo Find N2 series. In fact, the new foldable phones will appear a day later, on December 15. It’s a multi-day event.
Gizchina News of the week
Besides the foldable phone, the last year’s event also showed a phone prototype with a main retractable camera. The company also used it to present the MariSilicon X NPU. So, besides the new Oppo Find N2 and Oppo Find N2 Flip, we also expect new technologies to appear. We also expect some sort of teaser for the upcoming Oppo Find X6 series. Also, it would be great to see the rollable phone making an appearance again. The last time we saw the phone was in 2019/2020. Shortly after the presentation, the company presented the challenges in developing phones like that on a large scale. LG developed one, but with its smartphone business bleeding, the device didn’t reach customers. Now, reports suggest that Samsung is also working on such development.
Alleged specifications
Getting back to the point, the Oppo Find N2 is said to come with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. The Flip, on the other hand, may use a Dimensity 9000 instead. As per Ice Universe, the new phone will be the lightest foldable in the market. The brand will use new materials to make the phone slimmer. It will bring a main 50 MP camera, 48 MP ultrawide, and a 32 MP 2x telephoto snapper. The Flip will have a simpler dual-camera setup. Both phones will bring Samsung E6 AMOLED displays – the Find N2 has two.
The Oppo Find N remained exclusive to the Chinese market. We can only hope the new duo manages to escape overseas.
