Huawei launched a much-talked product with an innovative design. We are talking about the Huawei WATCH Buds. As the name implies, it combines a smartwatch and earphones.
Design
Although this is a smartwatch, a TWS wireless earphone is hidden inside it. This is the first product in the world that comes our way with such a design.
As you guess, the biggest difficulty faced when making such a product is the size. But it seems that the Huawei WATCH Buds could solve this problem. We mean, it doesn’t look too bulky. The watch with built-in headphones still maintains the size of a mainstream watch, with a thickness of only 14.99mm.
On the top, there is a 1.43-inch circular screen. The edge adopts a 3D curved surface design. At the same time, the strap is made of first-layer calfskin.
The watch lid pops up like a pocket watch, allowing users to take out the earphones.
Huawei WATCH Buds Specs
Although it is a two-in-one product, the functionality of Huawei WATCH Buds has not been reduced. It still runs the HarmonyOS 3 system and supports third-party app installation.
In terms of health tracking functions, it supports sleep monitoring, blood oxygen detection, heart rate detection, heart health research, etc.
Other than that, there are over 80 sports modes. They include outdoor/indoor running, outdoor/indoor walking, outdoor/indoor cycling, skipping rope, rowing machine, free training, etc., and has built-in 200+ fitness courses.
The whole earphone adopts customized small components. Compared with the rod-type TWS earphone, the volume is reduced by 50%. The internal space utilization rate reaches 90%. The net weight of a single earphone is only about 4g.
Gizchina News of the week
Due to its compact size, Huawei optimized the patented smart dual-antenna design. According to different wearing methods, it will switch between various antennas to achieve good recognition performance.
Battery and Charging
The earphones will identify the left and right ones and switch the data of the left and right channels. You can forget about the left and right earbuds when using them. There is no need to adjust the angle for magnetic charging because they support 360° charging.
The smart control center on the watch can turn on and off the noise reduction mode. At the same time, it can control the headset to connect to different devices. Due to the smooth HarmonyOS 3.0 operation, it can switch so that the headset has a screen from then on.
In terms of battery life, the Huawei WATCH Buds can last three days when charged to 100% in a typical application scenario. You can listen to music for 4 hours or talk for 2.5 hours when the noise reduction is turned off. The battery life can reach seven days when the power-saving mode is turned on.
In addition, it also supports wireless super-fast charging. With the fast charging base, the heat dissipation capacity is 100% higher than the previous model.
