Tianfeng Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo issued a document today stating that Apple may cancel or delay the iPhone SE 4 plan. From the reports so far, mass production for the iPhone SE 4 should start in 2024. However, the latest report suggests that this may not happen. An excerpt of the report reads
“I think this is because the shipments of mid to low end iPhones continue to be much lower than expected (such as SE 3, 13 mini, 14 Plus). Also, the change of the iPhone SE 4 to a full screen design will lead to an increase in cost/selling price. So Apple may need to re-examine the product positioning and return on investment of the mobile phone. In addition, reducing unnecessary new product development costs will also help the company meet the challenges of the global economic recession in 2023”.

iPhone SE 4 will retain the design of the iPhone XR
Popular tech blogger and leakster, Jon Prosser has since claimed that the new Apple iPhone SE 4 will adopt almost the same design as the iPhone XR. However, at the moment, there is not much info about this mobile phone. With the report of its delay or cancellation, we do not expect to hear much about this device.
At present, the latest generation of iPhone SE is the iPhone SE 3 launched by Apple at the spring new product launch conference in the early morning of March 9. The device uses the same chip as the iPhone 13 series, the Apple A15 Bionic SoC. The device supports 5G and is the last iPhone to switch to 5G. In terms of other specs, the iPhone SE comes with a 4.7-inch LCD wide screen with a multi touch display. On the rear, this device uses a 12MP wide angle camera as well as a front facing 7MP camera. It also supports IP67 waterproof, and a fingerprint recognition sensor built into the home button.
