Although Samsung did not give official details about the software, previously, it revealed that the update would focus on customizations. The update will be based on Android 13, and it will introduce plenty of lock screen customizations.

Gizchina News of the week

Earlier in October, Samsung shared a press release. That highlighted some of the noteworthy changes in One UI 5. It also noted that the update would feature new personalization options for the lock screen. These options will enable the users to change the clock style, wallpaper, and notification pop-ups.

However, at the bottom of the fine print, the press release stated that some of these features would exclusively launch with One UI 5.1.

On that note, Samsung has already added some customization options in One UI 5.0. That includes the ability to change the clock style and wallpaper. But that update did not have the customization options to change the notification pop-ups. Well, you can expect that option to debut on One UI 5.1, which the Galaxy S23 is reported to come with.
