From January 2023, Fitbit users will need to have a Google account in order to sign-in to their accounts. As part of this changeover, the second option to sign-in using your Google account on Fitbit.com is fading out.
For now, you can sign-in using your Fitbit account (email and password) or the second option which is the Google Account (continue with Google). Last year you could even sign-in using your Facebook account. However, it was only a matter of time before that option was removed.
Fitbit Has Already Notified Users
When you visit the Fitbit website today, you will be greeted with the following message: We are removing the option to log in to your account on fitbit.com with your Google credentials to support an improved experience coming soon.” They have not stated the official date for this happen yet. But everything will begin from January next year.

The Google owned platform is making sure all users have the details of their email addresses and passwords at hand. This is the same credentials users of iOS and Android use to sign in. If you have forgotten your password, this is the right time to reset it.
All Fitbit Accounts Will Move to Google Accounts
This changed is solely based on replacing all Fitbit Accounts with Google accounts. After the transition, all new products will require Google Account to set them up. You will also need a Google Account in order to access new features.
Users who still use their old accounts will have until 2025 to migrate to using Google Accounts. This will give enough time for all users to move their Accounts to Google Accounts. Google will also make this easier for all users by seeking their consents to transfer Fitbit data to Google. Once you allow the migration, Google will guide you through the steps.
