Gizchina News of the week
The Power Armor 18 features a 6.58in IPS LCD screen, with a 1080 x 2408 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 240Hz touch sampling rate. Unsurprisingly, the phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 900 chip, which is combined with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. There’s an option to virtually expand the RAM (up to 5GB). You can also expand the built-in storage via a microSD card (up to 2TB) on the dual-SIM tray.
In terms of the cameras, the phone has advanced triple cameras on the rear. The main shooter is a 108MP, f/1.98 camera powered by Samsung ISOCELL HM2, and it’s joined by a 5MP, 60x super microlens camera and an 8 MP ultra-wide. The inclusion of the microlens is a huge leap forward over its rugged rivals. Excitingly there’s a 32Mp selfie camera. Power comes from a 9600mAh mega battery that supports 66W wired charging, 15W wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging.
As for the special features, the Power Armor 18 is coming with instant multi-use temperature measurement. The sensor can measure body temperatures from 35 to 42 °C with an accuracy of ±0.2 °C, object temperatures from -20 to 80 °C with an accuracy of ±0.5 °C, and environment temperatures from -20 to 80 °C in an instant. If you have no need for 18T’s thermal imaging, the 18 can be a good, money-saving option.
