After months of leaks, we’re finally on the verge of a new OnePlus smartphone release. More precisely, we’re about to see the OnePlus 11 in all its glory. The brand will introduce its new flagship smartphone – the hero of the lineup as there isn’t a Pro this time around – on January 4 in China. Ahead of the launch, the device has been spotted in what seems to be hands-on. The leaked images confirm the new design language for the camera setup and the glossy finish in the green color.
The live images were uploaded on CoolAPK and spotted by the folks at MySmartPrice. Apparently, the phone was spotted in an offline store in China. The leaked images confirm a glossy finish for the new OnePlus 11. Moreover, one of the images shows the phone’s display with ColorOS 13. However, this is exclusive to Chinese variants. The global ones will run OxygenOS 13 instead.
A new Camera Design, new Glossy Finish, and old Hasselblad partnership
The new circular camera array has a metal finish that extends to the curved frame. Moreover, we have Hasselblad’s logo on the back, confirming the tuning for the new setup. Interestingly, the phone marks the return of the Alert Slider. This legacy feature was absent on devices such as the OnePlus 10R and OnePlus 10T. OnePlus decided to not ditch this feature and is bringing it back with the OnePlus 11. Apparently, even the OnePlus 11R will get the alert slider. Below the iconic slider, we have the power button. The volume rocker sits on the left edge of the phone.
Gizchina News of the week
The phone’s display has curved edges and a top-left punch-hole. Instead of keeping the center alignment that came with the OnePlus 10R and 10T, the company is going back to the left part. The phone’s top and bottom bezels are still there but are slimmer.
So far, the leaks have confirmed the phone to come in Green and Black color options. The Green has a glossy finish, while the Black will get a Sandstone-like finish. Old OnePlus fans will have a nostalgic feeling with this Sandstone look. Curiously, most of the promo images show the Green color with a matte, metal-looking, finish. Perhaps, the leaked unit is inside a glossy case? Time will tell.
OnePlus 11 alleged specifications
We can expect a 5,000 mAh battery with 100W fast charging. As per the rumors, OnePlus is not going the chargerless trend and will include the brick in the package. As for the camera, we’ll get a 50 MP Sony IMX890 camera, 48 MP ultrawide snapper, and 32 MP telephoto shooter with 2x optical zoom. For selfies and video calls, the device gets a 16 MP snapper.
The OnePlus 11 will debut on January 4 in China, and on Global markets, it is rumored to launch on February 5. However, OnePlus is yet to confirm this date.
