Following the schedule, today, Realme introduced the first 240W fast charging solution. At the same time, the firm said that the first model to come with it onboard would be the Realme GT Neo5. The latter will hit the stores in February.
The Tech Description
240W is currently the highest charging power supported by the Type-C interface. Realme uses a three-way 100W charge pump parallel design. The solution supports 20V 12A input and 10V 24A output power. In effect, the charging conversion efficiency reaches 98.5%.
The tech uses a 240W dual GaN mini charging head to achieve the industry’s highest power density of 2.34W / CC. The charger uses a single USB-C interface. Its volume is only 5% larger than the previous 150W charging head.
The charging head supports the 240W SuperVOOC protocol and is compatible with the 65W PD, QC, and VOOC protocols.
Gizchina News of the week
In addition, Realme’s 240W fast charging solution has passed the double 85 high-temperature and high-heat limit environment test. In other words, in an environment of 85°C ultra-high temperature and 85% ultra-high humidity, it can charge and discharge for 21 days without safety failures.
Realme GT Neo5 Specs
In terms of safety, the Realme GT Neo5 will come with built-in 13 temperature sensors. Also, it supports PS3 fire protection design + full-link safety monitoring mechanism. Plus, there will be the industry’s largest 6580mm² heat dissipation area.
Prior to this, we have heard that the Realme GT Neo5 would use a 6.7-inch screen with a resolution of 2772*1240p (1.5K). The latter will also support a 144Hz refresh rate and 2160Hz PWM dimming. Under the hood, the phone will host the first-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ chip clocked at 3.2GHz.
In addition, the rear of the machine will carry a 50MP IMX890 main camera (OIS). This CMOS supports 0.6-20 times zoom. Also, the phone will adopt an under-screen fingerprint recognition solution and come with a plastic body. The most amazing thing is that it will also support RGB lighting effects.
