Sony-Honda Mobility EV, Afeela will Not Feature a PlayStation Console
To make things clearer, it is not like Sony will implant a PlayStation 5 console in the vehicle. Afeela will make use of cloud gaming to enable onboard passengers play pS4 and PS5 games. This will heavily depend on the speed and stability of your internet connection as well. You can also watch your favorite movies and TV shows in the car, thanks to the various screens in the vehicle.
There are numerous screens inside the Afeela, but the screen story does not end inside the vehicle as it also has an exterior display. Sony calls this the car’s ‘Media Bar’ (You can as well call it the car’s Dynamic Island). This exterior display allows the car owner to display a variety of data including weather information and car battery level. The so-called Media Bar can also display different colors and images as well. As an owner of Afeela, you can also display your feeling to outsiders via the exterior display.
Sony also said they are talking to partners about how they can create fun and exciting interactions using the Media Bar, more like what Apple is trying to do with the Dynamic Island.
Launch Date for Sony-Honda Mobility EV Afeela
At the announcement Sony did not state a specific launch date for Afeela. However, the PlayStation console maker said the car will not launch until 2026. So, this is only a concept car that gives us a tip of what to expect in the near future.
