OnePlus will release a concept phone again after three years

OnePlus Concept One

The Mobile World Congress (MWC) will be held in Barcelona, Spain from February 27 to March 3 this year. Like CES in January, MWC is a venue for mobile phone brands to showcase innovative products. While OnePlus has yet to confirm that it will be attending MWC, leaker Max Jambor reveals some details about the company’s plans. According to Jambor, OnePlus will release a concept phone at the upcoming MWC 2023. The report claims that the new phone will be called the OnePlus Concept Two. However, details about the device are still scarce at the moment. But since it is a concept product, it is expected that the device will include some breakthrough techs and industry-first features.

OnePlus concept Two

OnePlus showed off the OnePlus Concept One at CES three years ago. This device was developed in cooperation with the car brand, McLaren and was the first to apply electrochromic tech that is generally applied to the glass of aeroplanes and sports cars. Applied to mobile phones, the “hidden rear camera” came into being. The transition time of the entire rear camera part from opaque to transparent is about 0.7 seconds. This is also the most “conceptual” part of the whole phone. In terms of appearance, the entire mobile phone is covered by the leather used in McLaren supercars, which looks very cool. Like most concept phones, the OnePlus Concept One never hit the market.

OnePlus concept Two

After three years, what innovative techs OnePlus Concept Two will bring is worth looking forward to. However, never expect the concept phone to launch in the market. It will only show possibilities but will not be released.
