Apple has recently started selling refurbished iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max models on its official website across Europe. These mobile phones are listed in the UK, Germany, Italy and Spain for the first time. As usual, the refurbished mobile phones come with a discount. The current discount for the iPhone 13 series in Europe is about 15% of the new models. In addition, Apple’s US official website has also listed the refurbished iPhone 13 series. However, in the U.S. website, there is no price tag. At the moment, these mobile phones are yet to appear on Apple China’s official website. In fact, there is not even a category for refurbished iPhones.
Gizchina News of the week
From the official website of Apple in the U.S., the refurbished iPhone 13 series is 100-230 pounds cheaper than the new version. This is a pretty decent reduction but this largely depends on the state of the device. Apple says the refurbished iPhone is unlocked, SIM-free and comes with a new battery, a new case, and a new box with a USB Type-C to Lightning cable. This device also comes with a one-year warranty and is eligible for Apple Care+ Extended service. Apple says its refurbished products are thoroughly tested and cleaned. The company claims that in most cases, users will not be able to differentiate between them and the new devices.
Apple leads the refurbished market
Apple first launched the iPhone 13 series in September 2021 and is still selling the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini. The company no longer sells the new high-end iPhone 13 Pro series, replacing it with the iPhone 14 Pro series. At present, Apple is still the leader in the refurbished mobile phone market. According to reports, the best-selling products in the refurbished market in the U.S. are all iPhones. These devices include the iPhone 8 series, iPhone 11 series and iPhone XR series.
