Realme Coca-Cola phone is real, but there is a catch

Realme Coca-Cola

A few days ago, an intriguing render showing a “Coca-Cola smartphone” appeared on the web. Through the render, we noticed certain similarities with a recently-released Realme smartphone. However, it was not possible to confirm the device as a Realme smartphone. It was not, past tense. Today, Realme published a short clip on Twitter that hints at its collaboration with Coca-Cola. The Realme Coca-Cola seems to be coming soon, but apparently, it’s not an entirely new phone.

Realme Coca-Cola phone confirmed

The brand took to Twitter to post a small video clip with the subtitle “Something exciting is bubbling!”. We can see a phone in the red-ish background and the fizz present on soft drinks like Coca-Cola.

Cheers For Real

The company also set up an event page on its Indian website with the same background. However, it comes with “Realme is set to get really refreshing” text. On the same page, it’s possible to spot a bottle with the drink’s fizz in the shape of Realmeow. To those unaware, this is Realme’s mascot and Chief Trend Officer. It has the text “Get Ready to say Cheers For Real”. Now, it’s impossible to deny a partnership between the two brands for a Realme Coca-Cola phone.

Gizchina News of the week

Realme

Considering the leaked render, we’re about to see a rebranded Realme 10 or Realme 10 Pro smartphone. It’s common to see this kind of partnership that results in special edition smartphones. However, it has been a while since the last partnership involving a beverage brand and a smartphone maker. We are curious to see what goodies will come with this Realme Coca-Cola. Maybe a gift for free Coca-Cola? Maybe not, but we can expect special stickers and cases. Honestly, the render confirms a showy design with Coca-Cola branding. That design will put discrete smartphone users away but may be good for Coca-Cola fans.

The Realme 10 Pro+ is the fancier of the trio, so we believe that’s the right candidate for the Realme Coca-Cola makeover. The device ships with Dimensity 1080, has a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen, 108MP camera, and 5,000 mAh battery with 67W fast charging. Obviously, it won’t come as Realme Coca-Cola, we expect something like “Realme 10 Pro+ Coca-Cola Edition”.

Now, let’s see which brand will counter with a Pepsi phone.
