Apple has said today that it will adjust the App Store Prices in certain countries due to a number of economic factors. Such factors include increase in taxes in some countries as well as the exchange rates. Apple said it will make these changes in the United Kingdom and several other countries on February 13.
App Store Prices Change will Affect App Purchases and in-app Purchases
The price changes will affect activities in the App Store such as App purchases and in-app purchases. The following countries will see a rise in the prices of Apps in their respective App Stores. They include Colombia, Egypt, Hungary, Nigeria, Norway, South Africa, and the United Kingdom.
However, not all countries will see their prices increase. Countries such as Uzbekistan will experience the direct opposite. Apple said app prices in Uzbekistan will reduce because of a three percent reduction in Value Added Tax (VAT) rate. To check the full updated price list, you can visit Apple’s App Store price chart.
