Google’s latest Pixel device is the Pixel 7 series which has two mobile phones, Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. These devices are doing quite well in the mobile phone market thus the company is making them better. According to a new development, Google has provided repair manuals for the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro. However, this repair manual is available only for French users. Google’s “Learn more about the Pixel Repair Manual” support article is already geo-restricted to users in France. If you attempt to view it from other parts of the world, you will get the message “Sorry, this page can’t be found”. This wasn’t the case back in July last year.
Users can use the Pixel repair manual to try to fix issues they’re having with their phone and get it repaired. The manual provides step-by-step instructions on how to “repair a damaged Pixel phone with genuine parts; take your Pixel phone apart and put it back together; remove and replace parts; extend the life of your phone and protect the environment.”
However, if you try to fix the device yourself, there is always a safety risk of damage to the device. Thus, Google recommends that only tech professionals should use attempt to fix this device. Starting in 2021, France will require mobile phone brands (and other devices such as laptops and TVs) to provide a repairability index. It’s a score out of 10 that brands apply themselves in percentages, with one criterion for mobile phones.

In terms of cons, DXOMARK says that due to the lack of a dedicated telephoto lens and ultra-wide-angle camera, the Pixel 7 has a narrower field of view and limited zoom performance compared to the Pro version. In HDR and low-light scenes, the shadow areas of the picture will be somewhat obvious. The Pixel 7 Proâs DXOMARK image has a total score of 147 points, ranking second.
Google Pixel 7 was released in early October this year. It uses a 6.3-inch 90Hz high-brush OLED screen with a resolution of FHD+. It comes with a self-developed Google Tensor G2 chip and supports pure 64-bit apps. The device uses a 50MP f / 1.85 aperture camera and a 12MP f/2.2 aperture wide-angle camera. It supports OIS, EIS and laser autofocus.
Google Pixel 7 series can use the Clear Calling function
The Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro phones can already use the Clear Calling function in Android 13. This feature can improve the quality of calls. After installing Android 13, you can find the Clear Calling option in the sound settings. After enabling the feature in-call, the audio quality of the call has reportedly improved significantly. The Clear Calling feature of the Pixel 7 series uses machine learning to filter background noise in voice calls. It can filter traffic noise to provide users with a better call experience. The feature’s settings page states that it will be “available based on your Wi-Fi and mobile network connection” and that it won’t share your calls with Google. Also, this feature is not available during VoIP calls.
