Xiaomi Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro specs have been tipped

Xiaomi Pad 6

Xiaomi took a deep breath from the tablet segment after successful rounds of tablets under the Mi Pad series. The company decided to put the lineup to rest, perhaps due to lower demand for tablets on the Android side. However, the demand rose in 2020 in light of the pandemic and the need for homework and home-study. We saw brands making their debut in the tablet segment, and Xiaomi decided to refresh the lineup with the Mi Pad 5 and Mi Pad 5 Pro. Now, it seems that the brand is preparing the terrain for the Xiaomi Pad 6 series.

The competition keeps growing with the arrival of several brands into the segment. The old supremacy of Samsung, Lenovo, and Huawei tablets is no more. Nowadays, we have tablets from Oppo, Realme, and Vivo, and soon we will get a tablet from OnePlus. Xiaomi certainly does not want to stay behind. For that reason, the brand is preparing the next big thing for its tablet segment. Unlike the “spinoffs” that we’ve seen in 2022 (Redmi Pad and Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 12.4), the brand will introduce the next generation. That it will come in the form of the Xiaomi Pad 6 and 6 Pro.

Under the hood, the Xiaomi Pad 6 will stick with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870. That’s a pity, after all, this chipset has been found in recent tablet releases. However, despite its age, it is still a better offering than the multitude of mid-range SoCs in the market. The Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro, on the other hand, is a big upgrade. The new tablet will pack the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU, which means flagship performance. The two will come with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of Storage. Both tablets will come with fingerprint scanners and 67W fast charging.

Unfortunately, these are all details we have right now. We don’t know exactly when the new tablets will be unveiled, but rumors point to the launch at the MWC 2023.
