Honor X8a is an entry-level smartphone with 100MP camera

Honor might be busy with the imminent launch of its Honor Magic5 series phones, and the new Honor Magic Vs foldable handset. However, this does not mean that there is no room for a new budget handset. The company has just presented a new device dubbed Honor X8a. The device comes with modest specifications but impresses with a 100 MP camera. Honor is determined to deliver resolutions that are not so popular in the market.

Honor X8a specifications

The latest Honor 80 series introduced new 160 MP cameras. While other brands stick with 108 MP or 200 MP cameras, Honor is trying alternative resolutions. Now, it brings a budget phone that can deliver 100 MP shots. Unfortunately, we don’t know what is the sensor behind the main camera. So it’s hard to say if it natively shoots 100 MP shots or if it’s done through interpolation. Anyway, the phone comes with a 5 MP ultrawide shooter and a 2 MP macro module. For selfies and video calls, there is a 16 MP shooter that sits inside a punch-hole cutout.
