Huawei Petal Maps to Get New Features that will Make it Better than Google Maps


According to a new rumor, Huawei is currently working to bring some huge changes to the Petal Maps. The Chinese tech company is now testing Petal Maps version 3.3.0.205 which is said to come with a whole new user interface and features.

With the new user interface, you will see a whole new interface once you open the app. Instead of seeing the usual map interface, you see a globe with better rendering. The first thing you find on the globe is the home address and your current position pointer. The layer button and the real time position will shift to the top right corner and the bottom right corner respectively.

On the very bottom part of the App, you will find the redesigned search bar which blends with the task bar. Underneath, you find the three usual icons which are Explore, Directions and Me; arranged in tab form. Huawei has also decorated this whole section with a blue sky background image.

First of all, Huawei has optimized the map to give you a high precision navigation to make your navigations better and smoother. Huawei will also expand Petal Maps coverage to regions like Malaysia, the Philippines, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, South Africa, Mexico, and Spain.

The new Petal Maps will allow you to measure the perimeter and area in the options. Users can also share their reviews right inside the app.

The new maps will also come with a navigation broadcast optimizations to enhance the scenario of stopping and starting in traffic lights. The distance reminder that displays how far you have traveled your journey will also see some optimizations. Huawei Petal Maps

Once you come across an intersection, the map leads you to the right turning point so that you don’t miss your lane.

How to Download the New Petal Maps

These new features of the Huawei Petal Maps are already in the beta testing period. This means it will soon become available to the general public. However, you can also test the beta version by tapping on this link. You can as well wait a little while to use the stable version as beta versions are not too reliable.
