iQOO Neo 7 launched with Dimensity 8200

iQOO Neo 7

iQOO has just introduced an all-new iQOO Neo 7 series smartphone which is simply named… iQOO Neo 7. The device is very similar to the Neo 7 SE that arrived late last year with the Dimensity 8200. In fact, it comes with the very same CPU.

iQOO Neo 7 specifications

The iQOO Neo 7 packs the MediaTek Dimensity 8200, which is placed above the all-new Dimensity 7200. The chipset brings four ARM Cortex-A78 cores clocked at up to 3.1 GHz and Mali-G610 GPU. That is enough to handle the Neo 7’s Full HD+ display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The device’s panel has a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a centered punch-hole for the selfie shooter. The device has a 300 Hz touch sampling rate, but there is an instant mode for gaming that tweaks it to 1,200 Hz. The panel has 500 nits of manual brightness, but if you enable the high-brightness amount that goes up to 1,000 nits.

Moving around to the back, the iQOO Neo 7 has an elegant square camera module with a 64 MP OIS camera leading the way. Despite the fancy look, the other two sensors are… decorative. We have a 2 MP sensor for macro shooters that you’ll never use, and a 2 MP depth sensor. The latter you’ll probably use for the bokeh effect on portrait shots. For selfies and video calls, the device packs a 16 MP shooter.
