Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Is Coming This October!

Qualcomm, like other brands, holds its annual event in November every year to introduce its new silicon chips. Last year, the company came up with the amazing Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Now, it is time for the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The branded SoC will be here in October.

Upcoming Snapdragon Chip May Have A Dual Sourcing Route:

Rumors are always there when something unique and good comes to the market. Similarly, rumors suggest that Qualcomm plans to release the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 one month before its expected release date. Furthermore, it is expected that we will get two versions, a regular one and one for Samsung Galaxy phones, which will be released next year.

Considering this, the early launch of gen 3 chipset will enable Qualcomm to focus on another version. The chipset maker wants to focus more on developing an essential version for Galaxy phones. Do you see it a recap? Obviously, you do; Qualcomm released Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 3nm for Galaxy phones last year.

Most importantly, the latest chips will support better GPU and CPU clock speeds. The company will be able to solve the supply chain issues by adopting a dual sourcing approach. In addition, it will be looking for Samsung and TSMC to help in mass production of SoC.

Gizchina News of the week

Revegnus tweeted about the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 release date, but there is no information about its venture with TSMC and Samsung. Rumors are all over; therefore, it is hard to believe on anything surfacing over the internet. However, we have something to cheer about the release of the latest third generation chipset from Qualcomm.

If the third generation Snapdragon chipset releases a month earlier, it will have to compete with Apple’s A17 Bionic. Furthermore, the last year sensation has outclassed the A16 Bionic chip in single core and multicore scores. Therefore, we can expect the same from the upcoming silicon chip. Most importantly, the upcoming Qualcomm chip will consume 20% less power than its predecessor.

Moreover, the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chip is rumored to easily beat A17 Bionic chip in single core scores. But only October will show which technology will remain dominant until next year.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Phones:

While waiting for its release, we can have a chitchat about the possible Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 phones. There is no official word about the phones, but we have some predictions to make. The previous generation of these chips was featured in Vivo X90 Pro+, OnePlus 11, Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro.

Considering this, the successor of these phones will surely get this tech in them. Furthermore, Motorola, Oppo, Samsung, and other smartphone brands may get this silicon chip in their next flagships.
