Probably, you may have seen or heard of all of Apple’s products just like everyone else. You may know Apple products such as the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, iMac, Mac mini and many more. However, the Cupertino company has a secret product that barely gets into the public eye. Apple only makes this product for its employees, and that is what makes it a very rare product to come by.
A new video we sited on YouTube showed the unboxing of this Apple product. Apple calls it “the 10-year award”. As the name goes, this is an award Apple gives to employees who are able to cross the 10-year milestone working with Apple.
Apple Makes this Product to Award its Employees
Apple makes this special product with the same aluminum material it uses in making all other Apple products. The Apple logo in the center is also made of stainless-steel.
The video comes from a YouTube channel called DongleBookPro. This Youtuber is mainly known for unveiling of secrete Apple products and other products. He explained in the video that Apple switched to the aluminum design of the 10-year award somewhere around 2020 or 2021.
Previously, Apple built this award with a crystal instead of aluminum. The crystal design was a full glass-looking product with an Apple logo carved at the center. In actual fact, this product is not supposed to be any electronic gadget or something of that sort.

The award comes in a plain white box with nothing really much. Except Apple’s polishing cloth to help keep the award clean at all times. Apart from the stainless-steel Apple logo at the center, there is also an engraved “10” on the side to signify the employee’s ten years of working with Apple. Apple also engraves the name of the employee together with the date the award was received on the side.
Apple Explains How the Award was Made with a Note
Another thing Apple adds is a little note which explains all the materials and processes used in making the award which reads…
Your 10-year award is made from the same 6000 series aluminum that we use to make our products. Remnants from the production process are collected and reformulated to create a 100 percent recycled, custom alloy. The alloy is cast into long ingots, then each ingot is sliced into blocks that are machined to the finished size. The surface is fine blasted and the edges are diamond-cut. The block is then anodized to seal the finish and create a protective layer. Finally, a stainless steel Apple logo is set into the center.
