Twitter is the World’s Largest Non-profit Company, Elon Musk Claims

Elon Musk, the current CEO of the social media platform Twitter, is well-known when it comes to making controversial statements. As usual, he has come out with another controversial statement by calling Twitter the largest non-profit company in the world. Musk posted this on Twitter which grabbed a lot of attention from his followers as usual. At the time of writing this, the tweet had already gathered about 83 million views and 611,000 likes.

“Say what you want about me, but I acquired the world’s largest non-profit for $44B lol,” Musk tweeted. This tweet also got the attention of American game designer Derek Smart who responded by saying, “Now open source it, then we’ll be truly impressed”. Musk was also quick to reply to this tweet with this statement, “Prepare to be disappointed at first when our algorithm is made open-source next week, but it will improve rapidly!”

Twitter is a free speech platform, so whenever someone tweets, there will always be mixed reactions. Even as the CEO, Musk is not exempted from both positive and negative comments. Many users expressed themselves by commenting under Musk’s tweet.

One user showed a positive reaction by thanking Musk for returning free speech to the platform. He said, “the only person in the world who could have returned free speech to the world’s most important platform”. Another user also wrote “But saving Free Speech and Truth is priceless”.

The creator of Dogecoin Billy Marcus also added his voice by saying “Twitter has the potential to make money “if only most of the users were replaced with non-annoying people”.

Elon Musk posted this tweet shortly after the attorneys of Tesla shareholder requested a Delaware judge to cancel a pay package that the organization’s board of directors gave to Elon Musk in 2018. This package is said to be worth over $55 billion.
