We have been waiting for the OnePlus Nord 3 since last year. However, instead of a new device, OnePlus decided to launch a revamped OnePlus Nord 2. Now it seems that the device is finally coming, as it has been the target of leaks in recent weeks. The OnePlus Nord 3 had some of its specifications leaked before, and now there is a new report with specs. The new report contradicts the previous one and comes from a more reliable source. It’s hard to say which one is the most accurate, but the new one seems to be on the “more optimistic” side of things.
OnePlus Nord 3 alleged specifications
The latest leak states that the OnePlus Nord 3 will bring a 6.72-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The biggest change here is the presence of a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset. That sounds exciting, after all, the Dimensity 9000 was MediaTek’s last year SoC for flagships. That would put the OnePlus Nord 3 just a few steps behind the OnePlus 11R. Considering that the Nord 3 targets the mid-range segment, we have a strong boost in performance.

The report also points to two variants with 8 GB or 16 GB of RAM, and storage will be 128 GB or 256 GB. The phone will draw its power from a huge 5,000 mAh battery with 80W fast charging. Worth noting, that the camera setup is not the most advanced. The phone will bring a 50 MP main camera, an 8 MP ultrawide, and a 2 MP macro shooter. There will also be an 8 MP selfie shooter. Interestingly, the OnePlus Nord 3 will also bring the alert slider. Apparently, after the complaints about its decision of dropping the legacy feature, OnePlus decided to bring it will almost every new phone.
To recall, the old leak has been pointing to the Dimensity 8100 or Dimensity 8200 CPU under the hood. Moreover, it pointed to a battery capacity between “4,500 or 5,000 mAh”. As you can see, it was rather speculative. Now, the newer report sounds more credible. Or at least, less speculative.
The brand is also gearing up to launch the OnePlus Nord CE 3. We’re expecting these phones to launch soon.
