The latter is yet to be approved by regulators, but the former already belongs to Microsoft. Apparently, Bethesda’s upcoming Starfield can be the game that will save the Xbox Series X.

The Xbox Series X is a powerful console, don’t get me wrong. However, right now, users don’t have many reasons to purchase it. Exclusive games are still selling consoles, and Nintendo agrees. Apart from having the better experience, highest resolution, and frame rate, there is no game that will take the max of the console. But that can change soon with the launch of Starfield.
Bethesda’s title was announced in 2018, and may finally be released in 2023. It has the potential to be the very first exclusive that Xbox fans have been waiting for. Starfield promises to be a massive space RPG with astonishing 1,000 explorable planets to visit. The game will also boast strong narrative moments, and aims to be an epic adventure. Bethesda achieved impressive feats with the Elder Scroll series, now it plans to do the same with Starfield.
If all goes to plan, and Starfield delivers what it’s promising, then it may be revolutionary. In fact, it can be the most impressive Sci-Fi RPG of the last few years. It’s one of the most anticipated games of 2023, especially for Xbox fans. Considering its “exclusive” status, it can change the figure for the Xbox Series. Again, the console’s performance is great, but it could be better. Right now users get these consoles to enjoy Game Pass titles. But with Starfield, things may change.

As per Game Rant, Starfield is the second most-Googled game, only behind Hogwarts Legacy. The latest game from WB Games proved to be a huge success and is trending right now. As for Starfield, it seems that the game has been trending more than games like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The game was absent from Microsoft’s showcase in January. According to Bethesda, it deserves its own showcase.
Microsoft needs a proper exclusive to push the Xbox name among the big ones. To recall, Xbox One lacked a powerful exclusive that made history. The PS4 had dozen, Nintendo had dozen, and the Xbox failed to deliver an epic experience. The console had Gears of Wars 5 and Halo: Infinite, as well as a lot of Forza games. However, it lacked a “powerful” title to make history. Starfield can play this role in the new generation.
Worth noting, that besides the high expectations, there are also some fears surrounding Starfield. We all know that Bethesda is capable of delivering high-quality titles.
