Earlier last month, Samsung brought out the Galaxy A14 5G. Depending on your market, you will find that phone with the Exynos 1330 or Dimensity 770 SoC. However, it seems that Samsung wanted the A14 to be widely available to entry-level consumers. That’s probably why it has just debuted the 4G version of the phone.
So, the Galaxy A14 4G basically looks exactly like the 5G version. In fact, from the back, it looks pretty similar to the standard Galaxy S23. But, to make the phone more budget-friendly, Samsung has opted for a different chipset. There have been some more changes to the overall specs as well.
Samsung Galaxy A14 4G Core Specs
Even though Samsung did not mention the SoC on the official website, the Galaxy A14 4G most likely comes with an Helio G80 SoC. However, one thing that is certain is the phone’s refresh rate. Instead of the 90Hz panel in the 5G version, the 4G model has a 60Hz display.
Now, this display on the A14 4G is 6.6-inch in size and has an FHD+ resolution. And as you might have guessed, it is an LCD panel. So, do not expect to enjoy inky blacks and bright whites from this panel.
Besides the panel, the front of the Galaxy A14 4G has retained the same overall specs. That is, it comes with a 13MP selfie camera, which is housed in a teardrop notch. The bezels also have the same level of thickness as the 5G version.
However, the back tells a different story. The A14 4G features a different rear camera setup than the 5G model. Yes, it does have the same 50MP primary camera and 2MP macro unit. But the 2MP depth sensor has been swapped with a 5MP ultrawide camera. And that is a good thing as a wide-angle lens will see better use than the depth sensor.

Other Specs of the Phone
The Galaxy A14 4G has Bluetooth 5.1 instead of 5.2. And it is available in a single memory configuration, which is 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. But the good part is that the phone has a dedicated microSD card slot. Thanks to that, you can extend the storage to up to 1TB.
You will be well amazed by the battery of the Galaxy A14 4G. It packs a 5000mAh cell, which can charge at 15W speed. And thanks to the chipset, the screen on time should be mind-blowing on this phone. Also, let’s not forget that the display is 60Hz, which will enhance the battery life even further.
The phone also features USB-C, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and NFC. So, you can count on it when it comes to connectivity. And for biometric authentication, the Galaxy A14 4G features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. This scanner doubles as a power button, which is pretty sleek.
Samsung did not mention the Android version of the A14 4G. However, we are hoping that it has the same OS as the 5G variant, which is Android 13 with OneUI on top.
Other than that, the phone is available in the same color options as the Galaxy A14 5G. That means you will not need to stick with dull black and white colors if you don’t want to.
That said, Samsung did not specify the price and availability on the official site. But judging by the specs, the A14 4G might be more affordable than the 5G version. And in case you missed it, the A14 5G is priced at around $129. Maybe, Samsung will debut it at $100. Hopefully, Samsung will clear things out soon.
