Chinese tech giant Huawei will launch its latest smartwatch series, the Huawei Watch 4. The smartwatch series has received the China Compulsory Certification certificate with LTE connectivity.
The certificate reveals that the standard version of the Watch 4, identified as model ARC-AL00, will feature LTE 4G connectivity and 5W fast charging. Goertek (Jingwei Hi-Tech) will manufacture the smartwatch, and these details are identical to what we’ve seen in recent WiFi certificates. However, we also know the Huawei Watch 4 Pro will be available alongside the standard version.

The WiFi Alliance has also published certificates for new Huawei smartwatches, including the ARC-AL00, MDS-Al10, and MDS-AL00 models. The first belongs to the Watch 4, and the latter two are confirmed as the Huawei Watch 4 Pro. However, the certification authorities didn’t confirm the aesthetics and design of the watch.
According to reports, the Watch 4 series will bring satellite SMS capability, which is currently unavailable on any smartwatch. This feature will allow users to send and receive SMS without a native cellular network.
Another report suggests that the company will use super-premium zirconium material to make this smartwatch, making it more expensive. However, this could be a special edition, and we can expect the tech giant to unveil some more usual smartwatch variants similar to the Huawei Watch 3 lineup.
The Watch 4, with LTE connectivity, fast charging, and satellite SMS, could be a strong competitor. Despite reports indicating a March 23rd unveiling of the Huawei Watch 4 series, the company has not confirmed the launch event date.
