However, because of technical issues, mass production and commercial use of the tech have been delayed until 2025. This means that the first iPhone to use this tech will be the iPhone 17 Pro. As everyone is aware, Apple began the notch era with the release of the iPhone X. Apple placed the initial deep-sensing camera system (including the dot matrix projector) in this notch to enable 3D face recognition.
