iQOO is gearing up to introduce the iQOO Z7 series in all its glory on March 20. The company disclosed the specs of the iQOO Z7i and it’s up for pre-orders. Now, the company plans to introduce the iQOO Z7 and iQOO Z7x by March 20. These devices will complete the family of upper mid-range devices with capable hardware, fast charging, and large batteries.

iQOO Z7x and Z7 are set to come on March 20

As per the teasers, the iQOO Z7 and Z7x will pack larger batteries with fast charging. The vanilla has a 5,000 mAh battery with up to 120W fast charging, while the X will get a larger 6,000 mAh battery but with “slower” 80W charging. In terms of design, both devices will have the same guidelines. They also have a dual-camera setup at the back. iQOO tends to bet on the “simple is more”.

iQOO Z7x

The iQOO Z7 packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 CPU, and the iQOO Z7x has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 782G. The latter is a well-known friend for consumers in the mid-range market (for the good, or for the bad). In terms of performance, we have to say that the iQOO Z7x offers much more than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 782G.

It’s a slight upgrade for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G and brings a good performance for playing games. Worth noting that it’s unclear whether these iQOO Z7 series phones will reach global markets. They come to be rebranded as Vivo smartphones.

iQOO Z7i specifications

The iQOO Z7i is an intriguing phone with compelling specs. It packs a new MediaTek Dimensity 6020 CPU with up to 8 GB RAM and 128 GB RAM. The phone has a dual-camera setup with a 13-Megapixel main camera and a 2-Megapixel macro shooter. For selfies and video calls, we have a simple 5-Megapixel shooter.  The phone packs a 6.51-inch IPS LCD screen with 1,600 x 720 pixels of resolution.

In terms of connectivity, the phone has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 5.1. It boasts a huge 5,000 mAh battery, but charging is just 15W. It runs Android 13 with FuntouchOS 13 running atop. This phone certainly is the less appealing of the trio, but it costs about $130.
