Just recently, Redmi took the wraps off the Redmi K60 series with many variants. These devices are exclusive to the Chinese market, but the brand is gearing up to bring them to global markets. As you may expect, they will come under the POCO F-series. A new leak points to the launch of the new POCO F5 and POCO F5 Pro. Unlike previous years, POCO will also bring a POCO F5 Pro this time around. The device was spotted on the FCC certification, and now tipster Yogesh Brar brings details of the specs.
POCO F5 Pro specifications
According to the tipster, the POCO F5 Pro will bring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU. This is the trending chipset for flagship killers in 2022. The OnePlus 11R and Realme GT3 bring this chipset, and POCO will also stick with it for the POCO F5 Pro. Besides the Qualcomm CPU, the tipster also confirms a 6.67-inch OLED screen with a 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone will come in options with 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM. It will run Xiaomi’s proprietary MIUI 14, which is based on Android 13.
Gizchina News of the week
In terms of optics, the F5 Pro will pack a triple-camera setup. The primary shooter is a 64-Megapixel camera with OIS. Don’t expect any kind of advanced zoom, the phone will come with a regular 8-Megapixel ultrawide shooter and a 2-Megapixel macro lens. The phone will also pack a 16-Megapixel selfie shooter.
The POCO F5 Pro draws its power from a 5,500 mAh battery with 67W fast-charging support. The device will also get stereo speakers. Instead of an in-display fingerprint scanner, it will rely on a side-mounted one. The phone runs Android 13 which is not a surprise and has MIUI 14.
Considering the specs, the smartphone will be a rebranded Redmi K60. There is also a Redmi K60E and Redmi K60 Pro in China. We expect the former to reach global markets as POCO F5, whereas the latter should remain exclusive to China.
