Foldable phones are expected to take big leaps this year. And Motorola wanted to be part of the party. With the leaks about the Motorola Razr 2023 coming out left and right, it is evident that the flip device might debut pretty soon. However, a recent leak brings bad news for the ones that are looking forward to the device.
But before getting into the bad news, you should know that there can be a name change for the phone. The phone might debut as Motorola Razr+ 2023. Why the “plus”? There’s no concrete info regarding it. But we expect the name change for the device with the largest outer screen display in a flip-style foldable.
Battery Info of Motorola Razr 2023 Leaked
According to the new rumor, the Motorola Razr or Razr+ 2023 will feature the smallest battery in flip phones. Looking back, the Razr 2022 came with a 3500mAh battery, which was decent enough to offer a good overall screen on time. But the 2023 model is likely to come with a 2850mAh cell.
Gizchina News of the week
That battery capacity is laughably smaller than what Oppo Find N2 Flip and Galaxy Z Flip 4 are offering. To fill you in, the N2 Flip features a 4300mAh battery, while the Z Flip 4 comes with a 3700mAh battery.
So, what explains such a small battery capacity? Well, we are assuming that the phone comes with two cells housed in the halves of the phone. And the battery rating that just leaked states the capacity of one. In other words, 2850mAh might not be the total battery capacity of the Motorola Razr 2023. But do take this info with a grain of salt.
Other than that, the Motorola Razr 2023 will feature 30W fast charging support. So, even if the battery capacity is smaller, you can expect it to charge quickly.
