Just recently, Amazfit launched the GTR4. That was a 46mm smartwatch with a large-sized 1.43-inch display. And for many, it was too big. Well, if you are one of them, Amazfit heard your call. It just released the GTR Mini 42mm.
The great thing about the new Amazfit GTR Mini 42mm is that it is available in pretty much every market. And its price is well within reach for almost everyone. That is, it is going for $120 in the US, £130 in the UK, ₹11,000 in India, and €130 in the EU. But is the watch actually worth its price tag?
Everything About the Amazfit GTR Mini 42mm

The Amazfit GTR Mini 42mm utilizes 20mm straps. And the great thing about the strap mechanism is that it has a quick-release feature. Also, the included strap is skin-friendly silicone.
On the outside, the GTR Mini boasts a 1.28-inch AMOLED screen. With a 366ppi pixel density, the panel can offer exceptionally sharp text and images. And on the inside, the smartwatch integrates a 280mAh battery. The battery might seem small, but it can offer up to 14 days of battery life.
GPS and Sports Features
While the Amazfit GTR Mini 42mm is small and more affordable, it is as capable as the regular GTR. That means you will find a built-in GPS with a patented circularly-polarized antenna. This antenna can significantly boost signal reception.
The GTR mini even has support for 5 global positioning systems. And with the continuous GPS tracking turned on, the watch can last for up to 25 hours.

Customization, OS, and Colors
Like the bigger siblings, the Amazfit GTR Mini runs on ZeppOS 2.0. Although it is not WearOS, the OS is really user-friendly. And as mentioned earlier, it works with a lot of third-party apps.
The OS enables you to add membership and club cards through the Zepp App. You can also create hardy shortcut widgets that will offer you a quick glance at the important info. For example, the watch face can show your To-Do list.
Other than that, the OS of GTR mini does a proper job of showing you all the notifications that come into your phone. However, you can not receive calls with it, as it does not have a built-in mic.
Nonetheless, the Amazfit GTR mini is now available in three colors. You can get it in Misty Pink, Ocean Blue, and Midnight Black. Overall, it is a great pick as one of the best smartwatches of 2023.
