IQOO 27 And 27x: The Two Powerhouses

IQOO 27 and 27x

IQOO 27 and 27X are blowing up the internet with their recent release in China; don’t confuse these models with the Z7 5G launched a week ago in India. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer is yet to announce the Pro model. I reckon there is no necessity for the Pro model when we have the Z7 variant (the probable successor of the Z6 Pro) with us.

The IQOO 27 And 27x Have Epic Features:

Let’s begin by discussing the IQOO 27 and how it differs from the Z6 Pro. Frankly, it is actually not a successor of the Z6 Pro because the former phone still outperforms the latest one in some facets. Nonetheless, the Z7 boasts Snapdragon 782G, 8/12 GB of RAM, and 128/256 GB non-expandable UFS 2.2 storage, followed by Android 13 and OnginOS 13.

The promising news is that you can expand the RAM up to 8GB, depending on your requirements. The Z7 device has a 5,000 mAh battery and supports 120W fast charging. Like other Chinese companies, we see a similar claim: IQOO 27 can survive 5 hours of video streaming with only 5 minutes of charging.

Plus, you can watch 16 and a half hours of movies on a single charge. The Z7 features a 6.64 inches LCD screen with a 1080P screen and an amazing 120Hz refresh rate. It also supports HDR10 with 100″ DCI-P3 color coverage. This is truly amazing, but the LCD screen needs to be upgraded.

Gizchina News of the week

The IQ00 Z7 has a 64MP rear camera coupled with a 2MP depth sensor. Unfortunately, there is no ultra-wide lens. The Z7 also has a 16 MP selfie camera, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a face unlock. The phone has a 3.5 mm headphone jack and support for LDAC and Bluetooth 5.2 with aptX Adaptive.

How Do These Devices Differ From Z6 Pro?

The IQOO Z7x competes on the same level as the Z6 Pro. Like the former phone, the Z7x comes with a Snapdragon 695 processor, 6/8 GB of RAM, and 128/256 GB of UFS 22 storage. The storage is expandable, and you can attach a microSD card of up to 1TB when you feel that you’re losing free space rapidly. Interestingly, there is a substantial improvement in terms of battery and battery life.

The IQOO 27x has a 6,000 mAh battery but supports 80W fast charging; obviously, not as fast as the Z7, but it still works. You can accumulate a 70% charge in less than 35 minutes, so that’s not really bad. Similarly, you can stream movies for nearly 19 hours on a single charge. IQOO 27 and 27x have a 6.64-inch LCD screen with 1080p resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.

On the front side, there is also an 8MP selfie camera and a side-mounted fingerprint reader – much more like modern standard phones. Like the IQOO 27, the 27x has a 50MP camera sensor along with a 2MP depth sensor; however, there is no ultra-wide sensor. The connectivity is diverse because the phone supports Bluetooth 5.1, offers LDAC support, and has a 3.5mm headphone jack.
