With the global deployment of MIUI 14, Xiaomi entered a new phase for its latest Android skin. Right now, the company has accelerated the pace of updates and more devices are getting the update. The list of devices with the Android 13-based version of MIUI 14 is growing exponentially. Just recently, the company started to roll out the update for the Mi 11X and the Redmi Note 10 Pro. We are impressed because these devices are not exactly new smartphones. But still, Xiaomi is honoring its commitment by providing updates to them. Today, a device that sits on one of Xiaomi’s lowest ends of the market is getting MIUI 14 with Android 13 – the budget POCO M5.
MIUI 14 and Android 13 are now up for the POCO M5
According to a new report, MIUI 14 with Android 13 is reaching the POCO M5 units in Indonesia. As per the reports, the update is already live in some markets, but now, it is being expanded to Indonesia. The company seems to be rolling out the update and evaluating if there will be any issues. The POCO M5 units in Indonesia are getting the MIUI 14 update with build version V14.0.1.0.TLUIDXM.
Worth noting that the build started to reach some units in Europe a few days ago. Now, the device seems to be entered the second stage of update. As you may expect, MIUI 14 will bring a new life to the budget handset. The update has new features, functions, and customization options. Also, MIUI 14 promises to be faster and more stable than older versions. We are curious to see the firmware’s behavior in this device with budget hardware.

Europe also has the update
In Europe, the MIUI 14 update had 3.4 GB in size, we expect Indonesia’s build to be around the same size. So make sure to have enough storage to get this update via the OTA channel. The update seems to be reaching users in the Mi Pilot program at this first moment. Once everything proves to be 100% stable, we believe in a wider release to all eligible units.
As we’ve stated already, MIUI 14 brings improvements to the experience. It uses less RAM memory and is faster and more responsive than MIUI 13. It improves the system’s architecture and boosts the performance of the device. There is a new home screen, tabular icons, big folders, new wallpapers, and more. There are also some improvements to the Settings app. As for the POCO M5, the device is also getting the March 2023 security patch. So the device is really being brought to the current date status.
