A recent report from a popular market research firm, Counterpoint, reveals that the iPhone 13 will be the best-selling mobile phone in the Chinese market in 2022. In fact, the iPhone 13 series claims the top three spots among the top ten models. For Apple, the mobile phone market in China is a crucial one. In spite of the competition, Apple manages to make some impact. The new report reveals that the iPhone 13 is mainly responsible for Apple’s good sales in China.
The iPhone 13 will be the most popular mobile phone in China in 2022. This alone increased its market share by 6.6%, up from 2.3% in 2021. The iPhone 13 Pro Max and iPhone 13 Pro, rank second and third with 2.2% and 1.9% of the market share, respectively. Also, this is the first mention of Apple’s iPhone Pro model on China’s top 10 list. In addition to taking up the top three spots on the best-selling mobile phones list, Apple’s iPhone also accounts for more than 10% of all deals.
Honor has four spots in the rest of the top 10, Vivo has two, and OPPO has one. All of the top ten products, with the exception of the iPhone series, are under $500. This shows that despite its high price, Apple still stays strong. From a stable 22% share in 2022, Counterpoint predicts that the top 10 models’ sales share will continue to fall in 2023. This in part is because of the regular annual sale decrease. iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone 13 Pro, Honor X30, OPPO A56 5G, Honor Play 30 Plus, Vivo Y33s 5G, Honor 60, Vivo Y76s, and Honor Play 20 are among the top 10 models.
