WhatsApp is Totally Changing the User Interface on Android Devices


Finally, WhatsApp has some good news for Android users. The instant messaging platform has added a lot of new features to the app since Meta acquired it in February 2014. One thing that has not really changed is the user interface, especially on Android devices.

WhatsApp has finally thought of the need to make some changes on Android as far as UI is concerned. This new design will be very useful to Android users since it will enhance easy navigation within the app.

According to the details of the new beta version which was reported by Wabetainfo.com, WhatsApp will now implement a bottom navigation bar. This makes things a lot easier in the app just like what we have on the iOS platform.

WhatsApp has now decided to give users what they have long requested for with the new update. Citing from the new beta update 2.23.8.4, we have discovered that WhatsApp is now working on a redesign of the user interface for Android users. This new design will include a bottom navigation bar.

Looking at the screenshot above, you could see that WhatsApp is making some changes to the interface of the App. There is a new navigation bar at the bottom to make it a lot easier for users to access the different sections of the app. This is because all the important buttons are now placed at the bottom for easy access.

This new changes for Android will enhance consistency across different platforms. This is because, the interface of WhatsApp on iOS is quite different from what is on Android. This can a be a bit confusing for users who switch between the two.
