Interestingly enough, Samsung released all of these budget-friendly devices in 2019. Let’s take a look at some interesting facts about the amazing Galaxy S10 series. The phone is four years old, coupling One UI 4 and Android 12. This series was part of Samsung’s three-year OS upgrade policy.
Samsung stopped sending Android updates to the Galaxy S10 series after the March 2023 security patch. Although, the company extended the policy by one year. As per policy, phones can receive major OS upgrades for four years and security updates for five years. In short, all new phones will receive updates for up to five years, extending the phone’s life.
It seems that Samsung is not the company of its claims as it is discontinuing all budget models while keeping the Galaxy S21 series on the list. Similarly, the Samsung Galaxy S10 series will not be eligible for Android 13 and One UI 5. Surprisingly, the Galaxy S10 5G and Galaxy S10 Lite will receive updates despite being in the S10 series group.
It does not end here; Samsung has also downgraded foldable phones such as Galaxy Z Flip, Fold 5G, and Galaxy Fold. This means that they will receive their last software updates.
