TECNO Phantom V Fold 5G: TECNO’s First Foldable Phone

The foldable smartphone is on the Indian market and was released a few months after its launch at MWC 2023 in February. The Bollywood star and brand ambassador Ayushmaan Khurrana unveiled the smartphone.

The company’s smartphone manufacturing facility in Noida will produce 24 million devices a year, including this one. The Phantom V Fold comes with amazing specifications. For Indian buyers, the phone with single 12GB / 256GB versions will cost Rs. 77,777 in an early sale. However, the actual price for this variant is Rs 88,888.

The phone has a 7.85-inch LTPO AMOLED screen. In addition, the 2k+ foldable phone has a refresh rate of 10 – 120 Hz and an 8:7 aspect ratio. Like other foldable smartphones, this TECNO’s first foldable smartphone has a screen-to-body ratio of 90%. The phone is virtually crease-free and has a 6.42-inch 1080 secondary screen. In addition, the secondary screen has a micro-curve to make it easier to hold the foldable smartphone.

The LTPO AMOLED screen has a standard 120Hz refresh rate, a 21:9 aspect ratio, and a 91% screen-to-body ratio.  The company is also very confident about the durability of its latest smartphone, as the hinges can withstand over 200,000 folds.

The Huawei Phantom Fold V 5G is available in classic black leather and white organic silicone leather colors. The smartphone has the Dimensity 9000+ SoC coupled with 12GB of RAM. Other features include HiOS Fold with parallel windows, split screen, and drag and drop across screens.

According to the company, there are over 1000 apps that users can use to customize the Foldable. Of these, 90% of apps are used for multi-window modes and split screens. In short, more than 2000 applications are used for HiOS 13 Fold.

The TECNO Phantom V Fold 5G has a 50 MP rear camera, a 13 MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50 MP portrait camera. There is also a 32MP camera on the outer display and a 16MP camera on the inner display. Impressively, you can use the rear camera to take selfies.

Best of all, users can take advantage of Super Night 4K video, Night Mode, and Super Night Portrait features. There is also a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It supports 45W fast charging with the ability to charge the 5,000 mAh battery in 55 minutes.
