Presumably, the Face Unlock feature of the Pixel 7A would work in the same manner as it does on the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro. On those, the front-facing camera’s dual-pixel nature ensures that the phone sees a 3D face instead of a 2D picture of the user. As a result, no one can bypass the unlocking mechanism through a picture of the owner.
