Google Play Store Will Soon Offer a Quick Fix for Crashing Apps

Google Play Store

You might already know that Google Play Store is integral to the Android experience. And Google routinely makes it get better features and security patches to make sure you get the best possible experience out of your phone. Now, even if you have not looked into the changelogs of the app hub before, you should check out the one from November 2022.

That specific Google Play Store update changelog discussed a new prompt that’s coming to the app market. This prompt will ask the users to update the apps that are repeatedly crashing on the device when there is an update available. This will eventually fix the crashes and provide you a smoother overall experience.

When Is the App Crash Fix of the Google Play Store Feature Coming?

So, it has been months after the changelog talked about the brand-new Google Play Store feature. Well, on its Android developer blog, the company has announced that it is about to launch the feature. And with the feature out, Google will take the responsibility of offering a quick remedy to crashing and force-closing apps.

Google Play Store Update

The great part is that the app developers will not need to do much to make their apps support this Google Play Store feature. Google says that its systems will enable the prompt on the apps automatically. But what will the prompt look like? It will tell you that an update is available to fix the crashes you face with particular apps.

Another great thing about the feature is that it will be available for tablets and phones that run Android 7.0 and above. And as the new prompt will be generated by Google Play Store, it can pop up on the device even when the app it refers to keeps crashing while the message appears.

That said, Google did not provide any specific timeline for the rollout. But we expect to see it soon.
